Who Can Participate?
Open to all Hawai‘i public, charter, and private schools (grades 6–12).
- Schools submit 5 curated generative AI artworks, each reflecting a distinct theme.
- Artworks must include descriptions and detailed prompts used with AI tools.
Contest Themes
Students can express their creativity across the following themes:
- “My School, My Values”
- “Aloha ‘Āina: Love for the Land”
- “Visions of Hawai‘i in 2050”
- “He Mo‘olelo: Stories of Our Ancestors”
- “Keiki Dreams: Imagination Unbound”
Judging & Awards
Artworks are evaluated by a prestigious panel including cultural practitioners, AI experts, educators, and local leaders.
- Individual Prizes: Certificates, featured in digital and printed galleries, local media coverage, and 70% from sales proceeds awarded as scholarships.
Exhibition & Art Sales Event
Selected works exhibited publicly, culminating in a gala evening and art auction.
- 70% of proceeds benefit student artists.
- 30% reinvested into future Nāʻau Ao events.
